Our Pastor
Pastor Paul Morrison is the first and current pastor of Liberty Baptist Church. He, his wife Julie, and daughter Caitlyn reside in Beacon, NY. Pastor Morrison is a native of the Hudson River Valley, growing up in Stormville, NY and graduating from Arlington High School in 1992. Julie is a native of Grand Forks, ND, the place where Paul and Julie met in 1995. They were married in October 1999 and are the proud parents of their daughter Caitlyn, born in August 2003. After high school, Pastor Morrison attended college for two years on Long Island before transferring to the University of North Dakota, where he studied to be an airline pilot. He graduated from UND in the spring of 1997 with a bachelor's degree in airport management and business. However, in the fall of 1994, while attending UND, Pastor Morrison became a Christian. Even though he had grown up attending various churches, it wasn't until he was 20 years old when he personally received the Lord Jesus Christ as His Saviour. Since that day, his life, desires, and ambitions have changed. Within a year of being saved, God placed a burden in his heart to be a gospel preacher. After attending UND, he spent the next three years at the Northland Baptist Bible Institute, earning his graduate of Theology degree in the spring of 2000. Following graduation, Pastor Morrison worked as an assistant to Pastor Mike Custer at Bible Baptist Church in Grand Forks, ND. After three years on staff at BBC, the church authorized him to go back to NY and fulfill his God-given desire of starting a brand new church in Dutchess County, NY. Pastor Morrison and his family are excited to be here in NY, fulfilling the dream of establishing a new church. They would love to be a help and blessing to the residents of the Hudson River Valley.
